ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
FROM THE PRODUCERS OF THE RIOT COMEDY CLUB
The Riot Comedy Festival is coming back for its third year in Montrose Houston from April 3rd-6th , 2025. The Riot Comedy Festival is an annual community event created by the founder of The Riot, award-winning comedian and entrepreneur Brian Gendron. Alongside his team of associate producers and dozens of volunteers The Riot Comedy Festival puts on over thirty comedy shows including famous comedians, standup, podcasts, improv, music, a national comedy contest, and more.
The vision for the festival is to connect fans with comedians through a fun and intimate experience and to bring the comedy industry to Houston. This years festival has expanded but remains in the Montrose neighborhood!
We will be hosting shows at The Riot Comedy Club located above Rudyards and at The Gordy Theatre (Stages) a short walk from the club, or you can catch a ride on the Cool Bus between the venues throughout the festival.
We have a lot of fun activities planned this year throughout the weekend including exclusive parties and our first annual all-you-can-eat Riot BBQ Cookoff Competition with special guest Meat Dave held on the lawn of the Gordy Theatre on Saturday, April 5th!!
Our Venues
We are excited to add The Gordy to our festival!
We will be producing shows in three of the four stages at The Gordy for festival programming plus the lobby and the front lawn for our BBQ Cookoff event. We will have a 50 seat Live Podcast Studio, a 160-seat "black box" comedy room, and a 330-seat Comedy Theater.
